YOG signals presence in South of France    / continued

In January YOG installed show computers at the new Techman office in Antibes  Located in the beautiful offices formerly belonging to Feadship, Holland -  Graham Facey is showing and selling the  YOG Range of Marine Computer Systems. Two models are on show, the KEY-PC all in one computer and the revered Mariner M-CD series.  Graham and the team will be able to demonstrate all aspects of the systems  aswell as their own Techman software. The Techman Principal  Ian Hornsby   used YOG Marine Computers on his stand  at the METS 2002 trade show  in Amsterdam, in November 2002,  to show the excellent Techman software.   Edward Pascoe of YOG ( LONDON ) says " We are delighted  to be able to put our equipment into such lovely offices where Captains and Owners  can come and view a few of the systems on offer, use the superior  Navmaster 5.05 software by PC Maritime, England, and chat with the friendly and knowledgeable staff".   Visit them at 7 bis Av Paul Arčne.

Essentially  Ian and his team will be YOG MARINE COMPUTERS ( LONDON )  French  arm  and will  sell and service the systems,  from their offices in Antibes.   Whether it is setting up the GPRS  cards that come with YOG computers for local networks, or configuring the ADSL which can be found in the marinas,   YOG FRANCE  are ideally placed on the  ground  to allow the main  manufacturer  YOG (LONDON)  to  concentrate  on the manufacture.

Says Edward Pascoe, Sales Director of YOG ( LONDON)  " Over the years we have started flying all around the  world  and this is time consuming.  It takes us away from our true professionalism in the field of manufacture and development and ties up staff for 10 hours at a time whilst they get to and from  - and occasionally just going   to  -  clients and their vessels"      Captains and owners can relax with a  cup of Lady Grey  tea with the compliments of YOG (LONDON)  whilst they  run through the requirements of their vessel and their  guest cabins, then place the order with YOG FRANCE   who will then  order its bespoke build  in London."

In keeping with  YOG's working practices, all systems are built and then test run, or 'burnt-in' to ensure  that the common complaints, namely of DOAs ( dead on arrivals ) and wil then be despatched via overnight carrier  to YOG FRANCE.  Captains can  then  come and see their equipment working  on a test rig  or instruct YOG FRANCE to do the fitting as well.  Regular updates, chart updates.  patches, service packs, and virus updates are all  offered by YOG FRANCE and the intention is for owners and operators to come to rely on scheduled works  by YOG FRANCE in the  off peak season as well as those  last-minute  'urgent' critical  work which is all too necessary these days.

YOG ( LONDON) only service and support their own machines and as such  don't sell laptops as it is impossible to keep parts for machines which they do not construct themselves.  Customers with their own laptops  requesting work done by YOG FRANCE enter into a private arrangement  with such equipment and it does not form the  basis of any  ulterior service agreement in any other country. This is to say that  YOG ( USA) are not obliged to work on such equipment should the vessel go to the US
